Oh my! Oh MY! OH MY!!!

WARNING: If you are someone who hates cuteness, doesn't care for exclamation points, giddy writing, pink and aqua yummness or happiness, PLEASE TURN AWAY! If you are one of those people this post will make you quite miserable!!! You're still here? Oh I'm so glad!

O.k. Sweets...it's a good thing you can't hear me screeching and giggling and generally being altogether obnoxious in my utter DELIGHT over what the postman brought. OH MY GOODNESS. Wait 'til you see!

One of my dearest friends is someone I met through blogland and now can't imagine NOT knowing and loving. You may know her as Sweet Eye Candy Creations...the darling Miss Jennifer Hayslip! She and I started blogging around the same time and I accidentally found her very new blog and immediately loved her style, taste and sweetness. Soon after she showed one of her INCREDIBLE shadowboxes which many of you have seen and drooled over right along with me! It didn't take long for us to "click" and we've been emailing and even talking on the phone ever since! We cheer one another on and show each other all the yummy things we find online. She is just sooooo very sweet, so fun and SO talented. She's encouraging, uplifting and inspiring. She is a gifted assemblage artist, a devoted and doting mother and a precious friend. Not to mention cute as a BUTTON!

Jennifer and I both have February birthdays and we decided to exchange gifts. So much fun to find just the right yummy bits and bobs for her gift. She has a powder blue room that looks like it's straight out of Romantic Homes issue (and it WAS!) so when I saw these romantic blue boudoir items in a local antique store, I snapped them up!And I made this little piece to celebrate her sweet business and hopefully display in her soon-to-be studio. I've had this vintage bisque cutie for MONTHS (who was, incidentally, as "nakie" as a jaybird on my shelf!) and was waiting for just the right project to use her for. I fashioned a little "frock" for her and a matching headband out of vintage fabric and she just seemed to come to life.
What fun to hunt, gather and create for someone so sweet who loves so many of the same things I do!

Well...now I must show you what Miss Jennifer made for me. You'll see what all the screeching, squealing and exclaiming is about!!!! She definitely succeeded in making me feel like a Birthday QUEEN!Just LOOK!!!!!

This would be a very lovely gift, right? A yummy gourmet lolly from One Hundred Wishes, an ice-cream-sandwich-shaped soap (slurpity!), a gorgeous vintage milinery flower for putting in my hair or pinning to a blouse and a DARLING Birthday Betsy by the talented Sadie Lou! The Betsy is just as precious as in the photos....times ten, at least! What a thoughtful, generous and Yummy gift, right? Well that wasn't all!!!!!!
Just LOOK what Jennifer made for me....A Rosey Posey Birthday Float!!!!! Get ready for a million trillion photos of this incredible creation that so precious, darling and over-the-top amazing!

That's my etsy shoppe banner on the side of the car!

And that's my Sew Sweet DOLL graphic that's on my clothing line hang tags!
And just LOOK at the license plate!!!! EEEEKKKK! TOO STINKIN' CUTE!!!
Are you having a sweet overload??? I know I am!! Is that not the CUTEST THING YOU HAVE EVER SEEN IN YOUR LIFE???? ACK! I just can't get over the sweetness! I love it and it's going to have a special spot in my studio, as well as my heart.
Thank you soooooo much, Jennifer!

p.s. A little bird told me that Jennifer is working on some Easter pretties that you may find in her etsy shoppe very soon!
