Happy Friday, Sweets! This post will be short but I have a few things I want to show and tell about...

First, I have to show you this gorgeous little "doll" (who might just be the definition of YUMMY!) who belongs to my friend, Jennifer. Her name is Vivian...isn't she just delicious??? Andrew (my 9-month-old son) leaned toward the computer screen and made happy noises when he saw these pics, and no wonder! She is wearing a "DOLL" confection from my clothing line for girls! I used a vintage embroidery pattern that I just LOVE that I call "Mabel & Abel" (the names of our kitties!). This romper is in my etsy shoppe but I can also embroider this pattern on lots of different styles/sizes of knits!

This next piccy is not great (nighttime) but I have to show it anyway because....

IT'S MY STUDIO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The carpet went in yesterdy and we went over to see it after Back to School Night. I'm so excited! It really looks like a house and we are literally just a few weeks from moving in!!!!

I am working on something that I will be donating to the auction and of course the money raised will go to help sweet Ava Grace get the surgeries she needs. Dreaming of Fairies!

Hello, My Sweet Bloggy Friends! As I mentioned yesterday in my YUMMIES post, we've got fairies on the brain here in Rosey Posey land! My excuse for all the fairy business around here is that my girls love them (which they DO), but in reality I love them myself! I remember when I was about 4 my family and I went camping and while we were there we met another family that was camping next to us. They had 4 kids at the time and one of them, a girl just a year older than myself, was named Amy, and she took me by the hand and showed me where there was a "fairy forest." For the rest of our camping trip Amy and I played "fairy forest" and though I can not remember anything else about that week, I have a very crisp, clear picture in my head of a lush area, covered with fern, that most certainly was home to fairies...

So I KNOW how lovely it is to dream about fairies...and through my daughters' eyes and imaginations, I am once again "playing fairies!"

My first fairy creation is this altered art fabric book...for sale in my eBay auctions...

This beautiful book is made entirely of fabric. Included is a OOAK miniature bisque fairy doll and bird, as well as 3 fairy-themed ATC cards. The winner will get to "customize" the book with the embroidered word or phrase of their choice!

Rosalind (a flower fairy) is a beautiful fairy princess and she is accompanied by her faithful friend and guardian, Sugar. Rosalind is 2.5" tall and is just as sweet as can be in her rose-petal hat and rhinestone-encrusted frock. Her little friend, Sugar, stands 1.5" tall when she is wearing her "crown" (originally a vintage broach she found and repurposed, as birds will do!). Sugar also wears a scarf fashioned from a snippet of vintage trim.

A multitude of pockets are perfect to house ATC cards, love notes or even craft supplies! Each page is made from lovely fabrics and trims...vintage linen, my favorite barkcloth, vintage lace, my favorite Rachel Ashwell (tm) fabric and much more...

Vintage images have been printed to fabric and hand-embroidered to form original layered/altered pockets and accents.

Tuling, ribbon, buttons, beads, baubles and even a fairy and wand charm adorn the spine of the book.

Whimsical images throughout make this a truly magical piece of art that you can use to keep ATC cards, love notes or even art supplies in!

Monday YUMMIES for YOU!

Good Morning, my Fabulous Friends! It's Monday and, as usual, I'm inviting you to enjoy some YUMMIES with me that I've been making eyes at (or....er....indulging in!) this week. Oh you're going to love them! We're starting a bit late so I've got my little cyber-mobile running out by the curb. Let's go!

Well I just LOVE that sweet little pink number you have on, Darlin'! As you can see, I woke up late and didn't have time to put in my contacts or my bulge-restraining undergarments...oops! And gosh...I must've gotten dressed in the dark because WOW this brown outfit isn't doing a THING for me, is it? Oh well...no one will see me but you and you don't care, right? O.k. here we go. But what's this? We have a band of admirers! They must have seen my cuter-than-cute red thing around my neck and couldn't help themselves. But wait...they're yelling your name! Hang on, Sweets...and away we go, off into cyber space. Goodbye, boys...we have yummies to see!

YUMMY THING ONE: "Charlotte" by Jenny Heid and Aaron Nieradka of

Everyday is a Holiday

Let me introduce you to my new obsession: a new line of THE SWEETEST paintings by Jenny Heid and Aaron Nieradka of Everyday is a Holiday. I know you know I like pink, vintage and all things DOLL. But this is just a whole new level of yummy! My recent obsession and the subject of WAY too many hours of eBay searches is "vintage bisque dolls." The tinier the better. I love them all but I prefer those that are under 6 inches, have painted-on hair and rosy cheeks. So when I saw this painting I just about DIED. Actually I just about hit, "buy it now." But Jenny says there will be more of these lovelies and that "Charlotte" (this darling) is just the beginning. What if I love the next one MORE? So I am saving up for one or more of these. They BELONG on my new studio wall. Yes, they do.

YUMMY THING TWO:

Vintage "A Rose is a Rose" Coat & Hat set by Sunda Rose

So this is in a size 3/6 month and the only person who wears that size around here is a boy, so you don't have to worry about me snatching this outrageously beautiful set up anytime soon. But if it came any bigger...well that's another story! I can tell you without even asking Miss Sunda Rose that this incredible coat and hat is made from a vintage pink rose Wilendur fabric that I ADORE and would wrap myself and my entire house in if I could. The definition of YUMMY in the dictionary says something about this little set, I'm sure!

YUMMY THING THREE:

So after Emily's recent birthday I've got crowns on the brain. I'm not making any but I'm sure oggling them. Look at this "lovely" one! How sweet would that be for a lovely little birthday girl??

YUMMY THING FOUR: "Dream" Garland by The Small Treasures

I found this on flickr and went hunting around to find who made it and where I could get one. I found The Small Treasures, a sweet-as-can-be little etsy shoppe by the sweetest gal who lives in Germany. Her blog is fun, too! So I convo'd her and she is making me a garland like this that will say, "DOLL" (remember that's the name of my line of clothing for girls?)! I'm so excited! This garland is sold, but I have a feeling she might make some custom signs for you if you ask REAL NICE. ;)

YUMMY THING FIVE: A Fairy Door by Once Upon a Time Design

Besides having dolls and crowns on the brain, I have a major fixation on fairies right now. My girls LOVE all things fairies. They play fairies in the yard with the huge mulberry tree leaves as their "wings," their room theme is fairy princesses and I have a feeling that you're going to find two little fairies trick-or-treating down our new street in a couple months! But besides that, I have been doing some major creating, much of which involves fairies. That's a whole other blog, though...but I can't wait to show you what I'm making!

In the meantime, here is the cutest thing: A Fairy Door. My girls have not seen this but I can guarantee that there is going to be a Fairy Door in our new house. I just LOVE this. This particular door is sold but you can find many more in the Once Upon a Time Design shoppe on etsy!

Sugar and Spice and Everything....Pink!

I know every mother says this or something like it every year, but even so, it must be said....

HOW IS IT POSSIBLE MY BABY IS SIX????

But it's true! Our Sweet Miss Emily is six years old today. And what a beautiful six she is! I am so glad she was born six whole years ago. What a treat she is! Anyone who knows her knows she has had a personality and a half since before she could speak. She knows her mind...and so does everyone else! She is so bright and smart. She is very sweet and kind...I still remember her toddling away from me at just over a year to comfort a much-older child at the park who had fallen and hurt himself. She had real concern on her tiny face and pushed past the child's mother to try to hug him!

Here she is this morning at the breakfast table. Now Grammy (my Mama), if you're reading this, take a deep breath....this is not normal breakfast here! The child has never had sugar cereal before today. Not to say she doesn't eat sugar but we haven't ever bought sugar cereal before now. She got to pick her own birthday breakfast at the store and this is what she picked. O.k. that being said....here's The Birthday Girl!

I made her a little "tiara" (this is no Holly Doodle tiara, mind you, but Emily swooned over it!) and she got to open one gift....

It's a beautiful "Cupcake" pendant from Reminisce Heirlooms! Tabetha, you outdid yourself! It's just darling!

And it even comes in a little cupcake paper! TOO CUTE!!!

Monday means YUMMIES!

Well Good Morning Bloggy Friends! You know what today is, don't you? It's Monday! And though that means all manner of bleary eyes, downcast faces and nastiness of all sorts, here it means.....YUMMIES!

Today I've got a special treat for you...I've engaged this delicious little pink dream of a scooter for our trip today! Isn't it SWEET?? It was the most awful, boring black and I painted it up for you in this yummy pink hue...

I will have to ask you to wear this little number...but it won't be TOO terribly painful, will it??? It IS awfully cute!
