Extreme Makeover: Vintage Sewing Basket Edition

That's right! I found the sweetest little PINK vintage sewing basket on eBay. Great deal. It has clearly never been used. The cover is a little bit "shabbier" than I like, probably just from storage, but the inside is spotless. Perfect pale pink satin or some similar fabric. No pin marks, except for the two pins that came on the sweet little round cushion on the inside lid. There's a dear little pocket. Nice little tray with compartments (have I mentioned I LOVE compartments??) and a perfect interior. So I am going to give this little sweetie a makeover! Don't know if I'll keep it or sell it when I'm done. We'll see. But here's some "before" piccys so that you can appreciate the "after" shots all the more! I didn't get a chance to take photos until the sun was going down so that's why they're a bit dark and wierd. Maybe I'll take some more tomorrow. Until then, here she is:

Oh thanks, Sarah! You are so much fun! I just LOVED your UPS post. Comedy!! Let's keep in touch. :) And I want to see your embroidery as you do it, so show it to me as you go along if you want! Did you see the embroidery group on flickr and they have a blog, too. I have it in my sidebar. Very talented ladies there. Do you have some simple patterns? If not, tell me, and I'll email some to you! Happy stitching and we'll talk again soon...
love, cheryl
